About the Artist

After completing a Diploma in Art & Design, specialising in Graphic Design, Ann Taylor worked as a medical artist in a large teaching hospital and later as a graphic designer for one of Manchester's Universities. In 1999 she returned to full-time education, graduating in 2003 with a BA Hons in Fine Art from Manchester Metropolitan University. She lives and works in Manchester.

Personal statement

Many of my paintings are based on the influence of man on his environment. I have a particular interest in sites around Britain which still bear evidence of prehistoric man.
